Hey lovelees ♥ This will be another series of Is it Dope? Kylie Cosmetics came out with the long-awaited highlighter called Kylighter. Just like a million of other highlighter junkies I was on my computer as soon as they released so I could get my hands on one. The shade Cotton Candy Cream sold out in minutes about 3 minutes to be exact but I was able to grab Banana Split. To see if this Kylighter lived up to its expectations, keep reading.
The shade Banana Split is described as a true gold and Kylie mentioned this shade will work best on light to medium skin tones.
- Product can be built up to the desired effect
- Compact packaging
- Mirror included
- Must dig into product to get any on brush
- Poor packaging design
- Not unique
The formula has the consistency of a pressed pigment rather than a powder so that makes it hard to get any product on your brush. When I first applied it to my cheeks the application looked splotchy.
Review/ Small rant
Kylie needs to get it together, we always get hyped for her products and then it’s a miss. Come on, if Makeup Revolution & Wet n Wild can come out with some bomb highlighters so can Kylie! It’s just frustrating I was so excited for this highlighter and totally disappointed all at the same time. The highlight is doable but there better highlighters out there. For the price, packaging, and pigment this is NOT DOPE! Save your money and buy the new ABH Glow Kit. My husband even said, “Babe you know the first batch she comes out with is always crap”. You know what he’s right.
