Hey lovelees❤️ I can’t believe Christmas is less than a week away! Today’s review is going to be on two items from Kylie’s new Holiday Collection. I will be reviewing The Wet Set and The Nice Palette. To see my thoughts and swatches on both items then keep reading.
First I would like to note that I ordered these items when they first launched so around November 22nd, I just received my package on Dec 14th so almost a month which is ridiculous considering I live in the United States. I did receive an email from customer service stating that they were behind on orders and to be patient. When I did finally receive my items they were packaged very secure. Waiting for the items was annoying but now that they are here, the wait was worth it!
The Wet Set- Pressed Illuminating Powder
The packaging is so pretty, the outside is glitter and the pans on the inside are huge! I just wish the glitter didn’t transfer when you touch it. It’s a sturdy cardboard packaging.
This illuminating set includes four shades to suit all skin tones:
Sugar Coated- Soft pinky pearl
Sweet Dream- Soft golden peach
Frostbite- Soft icy pink
Gingerbread- Soft gold brown
The Nice Palette
The packaging is cardboard and includes a mirror which I really like. The palette includes 14 shades in both matte and shimmer finishes. The lettering on the outside is textured so it’s fun to touch. I wish the palette was another color than white since it will get dirty from use.
I have been enjoying both items but I’m not in love. I was really excited to receive The Wet Set because I missed out on it the first time but I am not too sure how I feel about it still. The formula is very different almost putty-like and I can’t find a brush that picks up the product and applies it evenly to the face. The shades are beautiful, so I am determined to make it work. It applies as a cream but then dries down to a powder. It’s buildable to achieve a blinding highlight or a nice glow depending on your look. The Nice Palette is an overall great palette, the standout shades are definitely the mattes for me. They blend so nicely and I love the shades she chose to put in this palette. I think the shimmers apply best when your brush is wet. It’s definitely a neutral palette. Overall the items are nice and if I had to recommend one, I would say the Nice Palette is a great neutral palette to have in your collection.
